Alexander James is a modern-day Psalmist!  His recent performance for the Athens Westmont Section of NCNW’s 5th Annual Black History Program still has people singing his praises. As a skilled wordsmith, from the very moment that Alex opens his mouth, you cannot help but to be drawn in by the beautiful metaphors designed by this verbal gymnast. At first glance, his commanding presence might cause some to feel intimidated, but once he begins to share his gift, there is a tenderness and a sweet humility of one crying out in the wilderness to let his listeners know that it’s truly not about him, but it’s all about his Maker.

The piece ministered by Min. Alexander was far more poignant, relevant,thought provoking, heart mending and spirit leaping an experience than any other I've heard ministered before. 
This piece in my humble opinion is to be delivered to all believers, no matter the specifics in which we believe.  The common thread is we are healed, protected and loved through the blood.  All who experience this piece will leave better than they arrived. Definitely a piece that can be ministered over and over again.

Alexander James is simply put, AMAZING! I have heard and sat to listen to many poets and spoken word artist, and NEVER has my mind, intellect, heart or soul been impacted in the manner in which he did. Outside of being a great Poet, his ministry was definitely exemplified, with enthusiasm, passion, and understanding. I would suggest, if you have yet to hear him in action, that you quickly find yourself booking him for your next event and/or program. It was an honor and a privilege being able to have my young people get a better understanding, of Jesus Christ himself, through poetry, "Blood Donor" Simply AMAZING.

 Alexander James is a powerhouse performer and a force to be reckoned with! His stage presence, confidence, and powerful poetry inspired me and hit my heart.  Out of all the acts I saw that night, his made a lasting memorable impression.  His palpable passion drew me in from the get go as he took us all on a faith filled roller coaster ride throughout his act.  I Can't wait to see the amazing things he accomplishes throughout his career as an Artist.

     I met Alex at an event for the Toys 4 Tots, and he did some of his ministry. I can’t even begin to explain the metaphors he used. In his piece “Bartender” he compared food and alcoholic beverages to God. It was one of the pieces he did that really stood out to me. Super awesome man, with a big heart for God and everyone he interacts with.

     Alex blessed my spirit with his gift of speech and words outside of a run-down club on Crenshaw and Stocker. I showed up late to the event and the whole place was raving about a poet that came in and tore the place down (Alex). As Alex was walking out of the club I let him know I missed his set so he dropped his bag and performed for me one on one outside on the corner. His words were powerful, exciting, and eye opening. The fact that he stopped to perform for one person shows that he's passionate and cares about each and every person he comes in contact with. Within seconds of talking to Alex you will feel welcomed and loved. I'm blessed to have met him and look forward to seeing all God has for him!

     My name is Tatyana Leonard and I am a Director for Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Los Angeles. Alexander James is an amazing minister of the Word of God.  God has gifted him with a creative mind to bring light and clarity to the truth of the Bible. Alexander James is captivating and has the ability to invite people from all stages of life, believers and non-believers to not only listen to his words but put them into action.  What I appreciate most about Alexander’s Ministry is his ability to invite others into the presence of God. This is huge to me, because many other great speakers and artist of words tend to leave others in personal worship; while Alexander invites you to join him in experiencing the great love and passion he has for God.
